Breaking: Two Former Oregon Ducks’ Stars Ignites an Unexpected Flame at Denver Broncos’ Minicamp…

Former Oregon Ducks’ stars Bo Nix and Troy Franklin connect on a deep pass during Denver Broncos’ minicamp…

When the Denver Broncos drafted Bo Nix in the first round and Troy Franklin in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft, they hoped the former Oregon Ducks’ stars would reignite their previous success.

The duo has demonstrated their chemistry during the Broncos’ offseason workouts, receiving positive reviews. These evaluations were further bolstered when Nix connected with Franklin on a deep pass during a recent minicamp session.

Before the draft, Nix faced questions about his arm strength and ability to complete deep passes. His connection with Franklin wasn’t the only highlight; he also completed a deep pass to wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey during the minicamp.

Denver offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi praised Nix’s extensive college experience—61 starts at Auburn and Oregon—as a factor that will benefit him in his rookie season.

“You can sense his 61 games played in college. With experience comes a certain calmness,” Lombardi told reporters. “He certainly doesn’t feel like a rookie… He’s seen a lot and rarely repeats mistakes. There’s a level of maturity. When you draft an older player, you hope for that maturity.”
