Patriots fans gave a rousing reception to former head coach Bill Belichick during Tom Brady’s induction into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.
### Brady’s Legendary Status
Tom Brady, revered as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, received a significant honor this week with his induction into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. The event drew numerous notable NFL figures and celebrities, including Bill Belichick, who was met with thunderous applause.
“That’s such a warm welcome,” Belichick said. “I can’t tell you how much it means to me. Coming back here and seeing all of the Patriots fans. Thank you.”
### Familiar Faces Join Brady
Brady was joined by several former Patriots teammates, such as Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, and Wes Welker. He also reunited with fellow quarterbacks Drew Bledsoe, Brian Hoyer, and Matt Cassel.

Several notable figures who couldn’t attend the event sent video messages, including New York Giants greats Eli Manning and Michael Strahan, who received some boos due to their Super Bowl victories over the Patriots. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes received even louder boos, likely due to discussions about his potential to surpass Brady’s championship record.

### Kraft’s Announcements
Patriots owner Robert Kraft made significant announcements during the event, including the retirement of Brady’s jersey number 12 and the construction of a 12-foot statue of Brady to be unveiled outside Gillette Stadium during the 2024 NFL season.
“Our goal was to create a once-in-a-lifetime ceremony for a one-in-a-kind player. I hope we accomplished that goal with a few firsts,” Kraft said.

“Thank you for your tireless commitment to develop and push me to be my very best. It wasn’t me, it wasn’t you, it was us,” Brady said. “Let me make this crystal clear — there is no coach in the world I would rather play for than Bill Belichick.”
Brady concluded the evening with a perfect statement:
“I am eternally grateful. I am Tom Brady. And I am a Patriot.”
