Breaking: Draymond Green Sparks Debate Over Bucks’ Jrue Holiday Trade and Celtics’ Championship Chances…

Draymond Green Ignites Debate on Joel Embiid’s Jrue Holiday-Bucks Trade Comments

Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green has made headlines by picking the Dallas Mavericks to win the NBA Finals. However, after the Boston Celtics clinched a 106-99 victory in Game 3, putting them one win away from their 18th championship banner, Green seemed convinced of their ultimate victory.

On his latest podcast episode, Green discussed Joel Embiid’s mid-game tweet on Wednesday night regarding the Milwaukee Bucks “giving” Boston the title by trading Jrue Holiday.

“Joel Embiid tweeted, ‘Did the Bucks give them the championship?’ referring to Boston. The answer is yes, they did,” Green stated. “They traded Jrue away.

You need to do everything to keep Jrue because he can guard bigger players, play on or off the ball, and there’s no fit mismatch with Jrue and Dame. I don’t think Portland was set on getting Jrue Holiday. Milwaukee could have done more to keep Jrue. So yes, the Bucks gave the Celtics the championship.”

Milwaukee’s early exit from last year’s playoffs, losing to the eighth-seeded Miami Heat in the first round, led to significant changes.

Despite Giannis Antetokounmpo missing two games due to injury, the disappointing loss prompted the firing of coach Mike Budenholzer and the acquisition of Damian Lillard in a blockbuster trade that sent Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Bucks likely anticipated that the rebuilding Blazers would trade Holiday again, but it’s safe to assume they didn’t expect their main Eastern Conference rival, Boston, to win the Holiday sweepstakes.

This acquisition capped a transformative offseason for Boston, positioning them to potentially win their first Larry O’Brien Trophy since 2008.

Jrue Holiday: Boston’s Answer to the Warriors’ Andre Iguodala

Holiday was a standout contender for Finals MVP after the first two games, excelling defensively against Kyrie Irving and contributing significantly on offense without turnovers. While Jaylen Brown emerged as the frontrunner for the Bill Russell Trophy after Game 3, Holiday’s impact on the Celtics’ postseason run has been undeniable.
