Breaking: Broncos Confirm Departure of Tight End with Injury Settlement to Make Room for New Signing…

The Broncos released undrafted rookie tight end Dylan Leonard on Thursday with an injury settlement, the team announced. This move was necessary to create a roster spot for the signing of linebacker Andre Smith.

Leonard had missed the latter part of the offseason program due to an undisclosed injury.

After going undrafted, Leonard signed with the Broncos, receiving $27,500 in guaranteed money, including a $5,000 signing bonus, according to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette.

Last season, Leonard played 453 snaps for Georgia Tech, where he was primarily used as a run blocker. He recorded 14 receptions for 156 yards and one touchdown last season.

Over his five-year college career, Leonard made 41 receptions for 387 yards and one touchdown.
