Jacob Smith, a Top 2026 QB Prospect and Pack9 Commit, Praises NC State
Jacob Smith, a quarterback from Pfafftown (N.C.) Reagan, is among the top names for the 2026 class. Recently, he visited Raleigh to participate in a camp with the NC State Wolfpack.
NC State has secured their quarterback for the 2025 class and has shifted focus to finding a 2026 quarterback. Jacob Smith, who has already committed to NC State’s Pack9 baseball team, is a key target. He received an offer from head coach Dave Doeren last summer during a camp.
Smith returned to Raleigh for a personal workout with quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper before the camp, which he found invaluable.
“Returning to NC State is something I always look forward to,” Smith shared. “I had free time today and jumped at the chance to work with coach Roper. It was great to learn from him and showcase my skills with the NC State coaches observing.”
