BREAKING: Stefon Diggs is openly expressing his Super Bowl aspirations with the Houston Texans. Despite his impressive career, he is still pursuing his first Super Bowl ring…

The football world is eagerly anticipating the Houston Texans’ performance in the 2024 NFL season. Following a successful year under head coach DeMeco Ryans and quarterback C.J. Stroud, the team has raised expectations even higher by trading for star receiver Stefon Diggs.

Diggs, known for his outstanding career with the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills, is still chasing his first Super Bowl ring at 30 years old. According to NBC Sports, Diggs said, “I feel like I’ve been chasing the Super Bowl since I got in the league. I believe in this team and the quarterback. Those are unspoken things that we all can assume.”

Despite joining an already explosive offense with standout receivers Tank Dell and Nico Collins, and new running back Joe Mixon, Diggs emphasizes the importance of focusing on each game. “For me, chasing a ring isn’t about coming here to chase it. I came here to win, and that starts with game one,” Diggs stated. He stresses the need for effort and consistency, starting with practice and preparation.

Concerns about having too many playmakers on the team don’t worry Diggs. Aware of Dell and Collins’ talents, Diggs said, “It’s not my job to call the plays. I’ve just got to get open and catch it. This offense has a lot of horses in the stable. You let them all loose, and we’ll figure the rest out.”

Quarterback C.J. Stroud praised Diggs’ integration into the team, highlighting his leadership and unselfish attitude. Head coach DeMeco Ryans echoed this sentiment, noting Diggs’ positive impact and reliability as a player. Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik believes Diggs’ addition removes any limitations, allowing the team to adapt their strategy to whatever is needed to win games.

After a 10-7 season, an AFC South title, and a trip to the divisional round of the playoffs, the Texans are looking to Diggs to help push them even further. Their season opener is on Sunday, Sept. 8, against the Indianapolis Colts on the road.
