One notable attendee at the voluntary workouts in Missouri is Rashee Rice, the star wide receiver who is dealing with off-field legal issues and is expected to be suspended for several games at the beginning of the 2024 season. Since he has not yet been suspended, Rice is participating to stay in peak condition for his return. These OTAs are the first opportunity for newly drafted rookies to train alongside veterans like Mahomes.
The Chiefs’ recent OTA sessions began on May 20 and concluded today. On the Chiefs’ official X account, they posted a video of their three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback arriving at the training center, which sparked a wave of similar reactions from NFL fans. Comments varied from light-hearted jokes about Mahomes’ “dad bod” to admiration for his achievements despite his physique.
Fans on social media made comments such as, “Mahomes embracing the dad bod and still annually destroying the league is a hilarious bit,” and “Dad bod in full flow.” Others remarked on Mahomes’ consistent performance despite his build, with one fan noting, “Mahomes still has his dad bod.
