Florida cornerback Robert Jones III shares his interest in NC State, his upcoming official visit to the Wolfpack, and more.

A significant factor behind NC State’s recent defensive improvement is the upgraded talent in their secondary. In the 2024 recruiting cycle, the Wolfpack strengthened their defensive backfield by adding 10 defensive backs from both high schools and transfers.

The focus on the secondary continues for the 2025 class, with Vero Beach (Fla.) cornerback Robert Jones III being one of NC State’s top targets.

Currently, Jones III, who has nearly 30 offers, has planned official visits to NC State from June 7-9, UCF from June 14-16, and Syracuse from June 21-23. He is also working on scheduling visits to Miami, Kentucky, and Louisville. Although he is concentrating on these six programs, Jones III revealed that three have a slight advantage.
