Despite a tumultuous end to his inaugural season with the Milwaukee Bucks, guard Patrick Beverley expresses his preference to continue with the team into the upcoming season. On a recent installment of his podcast, The Pat Bev Podcast, the impending free agent conveyed his inclination to stay with the Bucks.
“I’m keen on staying with Milwaukee. I’m interested to see how things unfold here. However, my performance in the playoffs might lead to some leverage, you know? That’s just how the business side works. So, whatever unfolds, unfolds.”
Initially starting the season with the Philadelphia 76ers, Beverley was traded to the Bucks before the 2024 NBA Trade Deadline. During his tenure with Milwaukee, he appeared in 26 games, starting eight of them, and averaged 6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Notably, Beverley showcased his value during the playoffs when he stepped up in the absence of star guard Damian Lillard, contributing significantly to the team’s efforts against the Indiana Pacers.
However, Beverley faced disciplinary actions from the NBA after an incident with fans during a playoff game and an inappropriate interaction with a reporter post-game, resulting in a four-game suspension.
