The Bears Drafted 3 Gems mid round steals…

The Chicago Bears’ draft class has garnered attention not only for their top picks but also for their mid-round selections. Third-round pick Kiran Amegadjie, fourth-rounder Tory Taylor, and fifth-round pick Austin Booker have all been praised.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler spoke with NFL insiders who highly praised Amegadjie. Despite a quad injury that kept him out of the Senior Bowl, scouts believe he could have been a top-45 pick. The Bears, prioritizing their board, chose him over defensive line options, and their decision paid off as other teams selected offensive tackles shortly after.

The selection of Tory Taylor, a punter, in the fourth round surprised many, but Bears special teams coordinator Richard Hightower revealed that other teams had Taylor ranked higher and were surprised by the Bears’ move. Hightower praised the Bears’ staff for their thorough mock drafts.

Austin Booker, picked in the fifth round, was considered a steal by many. Doug Farrar of The Touchdown Wire named him the Bears’ best sleeper pick. Despite being undersized for his position, Booker’s speed and pass-rush skills make him a promising prospect.

Overall, the Bears’ mid-round picks have been applauded for their potential and value. Amegadjie, Taylor, and Booker could all contribute significantly, adding depth and talent to the Bears’ roster.
