Breaking News: Rockets’ Star Reveals Why he is Open to NBA Return, Content with PAOK If No Opportunity Arises….

Kevin Porter Jr., a free agent guard and former first-round NBA draft pick, expressed his preference for returning to the NBA but stated that he would remain with PAOK in Greece if he doesn’t receive an offer from an NBA team.

Porter emphasized his gratitude towards PAOK for welcoming him and giving him an opportunity that others may have overlooked. He indicated a willingness to return to the NBA if the opportunity arises but reiterated his commitment to PAOK if that doesn’t happen.

The 23-year-old has been absent from the NBA following legal issues stemming from an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, NBA player Kysre Gondrezick, resulting in charges of felony strangulation and assault. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless assault and harassment in January after reaching a plea deal.

Since then, Porter has been traded from the Houston Rockets to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who subsequently waived him, leaving him as a free agent. His future in the NBA remains uncertain, and his history of legal troubles has complicated his professional prospects.

Porter’s NBA career has been tumultuous, marked by previous arrests and behavioral issues, including an incident where he allegedly yelled at a team executive and threw food during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite his challenges, Porter has showcased his talent on the court, averaging impressive statistics during his NBA appearances. He signed a contract extension with the Rockets in 2022, but his recent stint with PAOK in Greece has provided him with an opportunity to continue playing and contributing to the sport.
