Good News: Baylor Lands Official Duke Transfer for Men’s Basketball Squad…

Baylor has finalized the acquisition of Jeremy Roach, who has signed with the Bears after transferring from Duke with one year of eligibility remaining.

Roach, a former two-time captain at Duke, brings extensive experience, having started 108 games and played in 130 over four seasons.

Baylor’s head coach, Scott Drew, praises Roach’s leadership and performance on the court, emphasizing his value both in games and as a role model for the team.

During his tenure at Duke, Roach contributed to notable achievements, including reaching the Final Four in 2022 and winning ACC titles.

He boasts impressive career stats, with 1,469 points and 402 assists, and showcased his skills during his senior season, averaging 14.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 42.9% from 3-point range.

Roach’s decision to join Baylor was influenced by Coach Drew’s reputation for developing guards. Although he may not play every minute of every game, Roach’s ability to contribute consistently on both ends of the court, coupled with his strong defensive skills, makes him a valuable addition to the team.

Throughout his career, Roach has demonstrated steady improvement, culminating in his standout senior season where he excelled in all statistical categories.
