Breaking: Former McDonald’s All-American Andrej Stojakovic Reveal why he Chooses California for College Basketball…

Andrej Stojakovic, a standout basketball player and the son of NBA great Peja Stojakovic, has made a significant move in his collegiate career, opting to transfer from Stanford to the University of California.

This decision comes after Stojakovic’s impressive performance as a McDonald’s All-American in 2023. He has committed to join Mark Madsen and the California Golden Bears, according to his statement to 247Sports.

Ranked as the 51st overall player in the 2024 247Sports College basketball transfer portal rankings, Stojakovic holds the ninth spot among small forwards. Despite initial plans to visit Kentucky, Stojakovic ultimately decided to forego the visit as he had already made up his mind about his destination. His final choice boiled down to California, choosing them over Kentucky and North Carolina.

Stojakovic cited the consistent support and transparent development plan offered by Coach Madsen and his team as key factors in his decision. Cal emerged as the sole visit he took, solidifying his conviction in joining the program. Madsen’s vision, particularly emphasizing freedom on the court and learning from mistakes, resonated strongly with Stojakovic.

Known for his sharpshooting abilities like his father, Stojakovic aims to bring a blend of fundamentals and flair to California, aspiring to contribute to the team’s success both on and off the court as a skilled scorer with untapped potential.
