The hope was that Rivers would improve the team’s defense and lead them to success, but instead, the Bucks have struggled and dropped in the standings. They are now fighting to maintain their position as the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
Under Rivers, the team’s performance has been mediocre, with a record of 17-17. With star player Giannis Antetokounmpo injured, the Bucks’ chances of being serious contenders seem slim.
Former NBA point guard Nate Robinson is among those who are critical of Rivers. Robinson, who has personal grievances with Rivers from their time together, believes Rivers has a history of causing problems wherever he goes.
Robinson’s views are not unique, as many in the basketball world question the Bucks’ decision to hire Rivers and doubt their championship prospects under his leadership.
