Report: England Adds Another Amazing Coach to Coaching Staff Ahead of Japan and New Zealand Tour…

England has expanded their coaching staff by bringing on Andrew Strawbridge as an assistant coach and coaching advisor for their upcoming tour to Japan and New Zealand. Strawbridge, who previously worked with the All Blacks, had a brief stint with the England team during this year’s Six Nations and made a strong impression.

England head coach Steve Borthwick expressed his satisfaction with Strawbridge’s return to the coaching group full-time. Borthwick praised Strawbridge’s attention to detail, coaching philosophy, and extensive experience in Super Rugby and international rugby, which complements England’s coaching team well.

Before joining England, Strawbridge worked as a skills coach for New Zealand and assisted the All Blacks during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. He also coached at provincial level in New Zealand and was part of the coaching staff that helped the New Zealand U20s win two world titles.

Strawbridge’s coaching career includes senior positions with teams like the Chiefs in Super Rugby and international recognition with Manu Samoa. He expressed pride in joining England’s coaching group and looks forward to contributing to the team’s success under Borthwick’s leadership.
