Exclusive: Oilers Discusses Saturday Night Plan as Brothers Seek to Fight Each Other for Team Improvement…

The recent altercation between Evander Kane and Corey Perry during Saturday night’s game for the Oilers has largely subsided.

However, lingering questions remain regarding the circumstances leading to the incident, its resolution, and the sentiments of those involved.

Following the game, coach Kris Knoblauch expressed that when handled appropriately, such incidents do not concern him.

Perry remarked on Monday that conflicts like these, though not uncommon, often arise from teammates pushing each other to excel, likening it to the way siblings sometimes clash.

Kane echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that such exchanges are typical among teammates striving for improvement and are usually resolved swiftly, allowing the team to refocus on the game at hand.

The altercation occurred towards the end of the second period of the Oilers’ 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames and appeared to stem from a turnover committed by Kane in the offensive zone.
