The Milwaukee Bucks are encountering a turbulent stretch at an inopportune moment.
Suffering three consecutive losses, they’ve been bested by the Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies, and Toronto Raptors in recent days.
After the defeat to the Raptors on Friday, head coach Doc Rivers was forthright in his assessment.
“Facing three subpar teams in succession is unacceptable. That responsibility falls on all of us. I’ve got to determine how we elevate our performance,” Rivers expressed, as reported by NBACentral.
The Bucks’ defeats to these opponents are particularly surprising, given their standing as the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

On paper, they should have dispatched the Wizards, Grizzlies, and Toronto with relative ease.
In reality, they were consistently outmatched.
Granted, the Bucks were without Damian Lillard for two games and Giannis Antetokounmpo on Friday evening.
Nevertheless, these teams were considered underdogs against Milwaukee.
Rivers is shouldering full accountability for the losses, a commendable stance for any head coach.
The question now is: what steps will he take to rectify his team’s errors and instigate a faster-paced style of play?
When Rivers assumed the coaching role a few months back, it took time for the team to acclimate and perform cohesively under his guidance.
However, they eventually found their rhythm, enhancing their performance on both offense and defense.
Yet, they have recently regressed, succumbing to detrimental habits that have led to these three surprising defeats.
With just five regular-season games remaining for the Bucks, all against formidable opponents, the pressure is on to reverse their fortunes swiftly.
