Bengals Head Coach : Give Latest Update About Bengals QB Joe Burrow Health Condition…

Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor provided an update on quarterback Joe Burrow’s recovery from wrist surgery, stating that Burrow is progressing well and is on schedule. Taylor expressed encouragement about Burrow’s recovery and his anticipated participation in the team’s offseason program this spring.

Burrow himself expects to be cleared for full contact by mid-May. Alongside his wrist injury, Burrow had also dealt with a calf injury from training camp, which contributed to the Bengals’ challenging start last season.

During Burrow’s recovery, the Bengals have made significant changes to their offense. They traded Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans, making Zack Moss the new starting running back. They also acquired Trent Brown for the right tackle position, and former quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher has taken over as offensive coordinator following Brian Callahan’s departure to the Tennessee Titans.

Despite rumors of Tyler Boyd signing elsewhere and Tee Higgins requesting a trade at the start of free agency, Taylor indicated that the Bengals intend to keep Higgins. Taylor expressed confidence in Higgins, stating that he is their best chance to win a Super Bowl.

Burrow, in his four seasons, has amassed impressive statistics, completing 68 percent of his passes for 14,083 yards and 97 touchdowns in 52 games. He led the Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance in 2021, where he led the league with a 70.4 percent completion rate.

In September, Burrow signed a five-year contract extension worth $275 million, setting a record for the highest average annual value in the NFL at $55 million.

The Bengals finished last season 9-8, placing last in the AFC North and missing the postseason after consecutive runs to at least the conference title game.
