Get Back To ‘Roots’ – Patriots’ Newly Signed WR K.J. Osborn Makes a Bold Statement After Joining New England…

K.J. Osborn is experiencing significant changes, including his move to the Patriots. However, this alteration is not the only one he will undergo with his new team.

Along with donning a new uniform, Osborn will also be changing his jersey number from 17 to 2, a move he announced on social media and confirmed during a recent press conference.

This switch holds personal significance for Osborn, as number 2 was his jersey number in Little League football and during his time with the Miami team. For him, this change represents a return to his roots and where his football journey began.

Osborn’s transition to the Patriots comes with expectations, as he signed a one-year deal worth up to $6 million in free agency, positioning him to potentially become the team’s primary wide receiver.

Despite his consistency and reliability with the Minnesota Vikings, where he consistently caught around 48 passes and amassed over 540 receiving yards each season, Osborn played in the shadows of other talented receivers such as Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. However, with the Patriots, Osborn faces a less crowded receiving corps, potentially offering him a more prominent role.

Joining a group that includes Kendrick Bourne, DeMario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, and Jalen Reagor, Osborn has the opportunity to make a significant impact. If he can seize this chance, Osborn could emerge as the top receiver in a revamped Patriots offense.
