Breaking: An Inside Drops Latest Update as Chicago Bears Secures Shocking 2-Year Deals with 2 Outstanding NFL Stars…

The Chicago Bears have successfully negotiated a two-year contract valued at $12 million with tight end , formerly of the Los Angeles Chargers. An undisclosed source revealed the details, including $6.1 million guaranteed. The agreement, not yet official due to free agency regulations, was initially reported by ESPN.

In addition to the acquisition of Everett, the Bears have strengthened their secondary by securing a two-year deal with safety Jonathan Owens. Agent Sunny Shah confirmed this to NFL Network. Owens, married to Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, brings his expertise to the team.

Everett, boasting 284 receptions, 2,833 yards, and 19 touchdowns in seven seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Chargers, enhances the Bears’ tight end depth. His performance last season included 51 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns with the Chargers.

This addition positions Everett as a formidable No. 2 option behind Cole Kmet, who is coming off a stellar season and signed a four-year, $50 million contract extension through 2027 in July. Kmet achieved career highs in receptions (73), yards (719), and touchdowns (6).

Familiarity with the system is a key aspect of Everett’s arrival, having previously worked with the new Bears offensive coordinator, Shane Waldron, during his time with the Rams and the Seahawks.

On the defensive front, Owens, a product of Division II Missouri Western, spent the previous season with the Green Bay Packers after four years in Houston. His contributions included starting 11 of 17 games, three pass breakups, and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.

Expressing enthusiasm for the opportunity, Owens used a bear emoji with a downward arrow on X and extended gratitude to the Packers and their fans. Simone Biles, in a series of tweets, shared her affection for Chicago and excitement about the convenience of nonstop flights to visit her husband.

The Bears’ offseason has been marked by proactive moves, securing Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson with a four-year, $76 million extension, obtaining the No. 1 and No. 9 overall picks in the upcoming draft, and adding talents such as running back D’Andre Swift and veteran safety Kevin Byard.
