ESPN’s Adam Schefter Reveals Patriots Re-Sign Kendrick Bourne on $33M Deal…

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has agreed to a three-year contract with the New England Patriots, potentially earning him up to $33 million, according to his agent, Henry Organ of Disruptive Sports, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal includes a $4.2 million signing bonus, a source told ESPN. Bourne, who will turn 29 on August 4, is currently recovering from a torn right ACL suffered in a game against the Miami Dolphins on October 29.

Before his injury, Bourne was having a standout season, with 37 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns in eight games. Standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 205 pounds, Bourne is entering his eighth NFL season. He spent the first four years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers before joining the Patriots three years ago.

Despite entering the league as an undrafted free agent from Eastern Washington in 2017, Bourne has amassed an impressive record, playing in 99 regular-season games and recording 264 receptions for 3,409 yards with 21 touchdowns.

In February, Bourne expressed his desire to return to the Patriots, citing his love for the organization and the positive impact it had on his growth as a player. He praised the team’s environment and expressed optimism about its future, indicating his eagerness to be part of the team’s upcoming success.

The Patriots, who had nearly $100 million in salary cap space entering free agency, have been focused on retaining key players. They recently re-signed tight end Hunter Henry to a three-year deal worth up to $30 million.
