The Colorado Avalanche made an announcement today, revealing that forward Logan O’Connor will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to the necessity of hip surgery, an ongoing issue he has grappled with throughout the season. O’Connor has been absent from gameplay since March 4th, missing two matches, adding to the six games he had previously sat out due to a lower-body injury.

Delving into O’Connor’s background, the player has gained popularity over the years, earning favor as a true homegrown talent. After a successful stint at the University of Denver, where he secured a National Championship in 2017, O’Connor was expected to captain the team in the 2018-19 season.
