Breaking: Eight Players in First Spring Training Cuts announce By Minnesota Twins…

The Minnesota Twins have made their first spring training cuts, reassigning four pitchers, two catchers, and two other position players to minor league camp. These cuts include left-handed pitcher Jovani Moran, right-handed pitchers Randy Dobnak, Ronny Henriquez, and Ryan Jensen, catchers Alex Isola and Pat Winkel, first baseman Aaron Sabato, and outfielder DaShawn Keirsey. All eight players were non-roster invitees and were not expected to make the team out of spring training.

The Twins need to finalize their roster to 26 players, with no more than 13 pitchers, by the start of the season on March 28. They can maintain a 26-man roster until the end of August, after which September call-ups allow teams to carry 28 players, including no more than 14 pitchers.

The Twins will kick off their season against the Kansas City Royals on March 28.
