Kendrick Perkins shares a message for those critical of Doc Rivers as the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. The unexpected firing of head coach Adrian Griffin by the Bucks before the NBA All-Star break led to Rivers taking over, and initially, he faced challenges in adapting to the team, openly admitting that the coaching job was more demanding than anticipated. The team experienced a brief dip in performance during this period. However, post-All-Star break, the Bucks have undergone a remarkable transformation, evident in their five-game winning streak, including a recent victory over the Chicago Bulls.
In response to the Bucks’ resurgence, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to commend Doc Rivers for guiding the team to four consecutive victories, during which they held their opponents to under 100 points. Perkins highlighted the Bucks’ impressive defensive prowess, considering the prevailing high-scoring trend in the league. He also observed that it appears Rivers has successfully connected with the players in the Bucks’ locker room.
With the team consistently performing at this elevated level, it bodes well for the Bucks’ fanbase. Under Coach Rivers, the franchise now holds an 8-7 record, securing the third seed in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 40-21 overall record for the season. Remarkably, they stand as the fifth team in the entire league with at least 40 wins this season.
