The Tennessee Titans have made significant changes to their coaching staff under head coach Brian Callahan. A total of 10 new assistant coaches have been added, and 11 existing coaches have been retained as Callahan constructs his inaugural coaching team.
The newly appointed offensive assistant coaches include Bill Callahan for Offensive Line, Tyke Tolbert for Wide Receivers, Randy Jordan for Running Backs, Bo Hardegree for Quarterbacks, and Payton McCollum as Assistant Wide Receivers.
On the defensive side, the additions consist of Frank Bush for Linebackers, Steve Jackson for Secondary/Safeties, Tracy Rocker for Defensive Line, and Ben Bloom for Outside Linebackers. Tom Jones has been named Assistant to the Head Coach.
The coaching staff also retains several members from the previous year, albeit in some new roles. Notable names include Chris Harris as Passing Game Coordinator/Cornerbacks, Justin Outten as Tight Ends coach, Anthony Levine Sr. as Assistant Special Teams coach, and Clinton McMillan as Assistant Defensive Line/Pass Rush Specialist. Additionally, Lori Locust, Kylan Butler, Matt Jones, Luke Stocker, Brian Bell, Tyler Rouse, and Haley Roberts from the Strength and Conditioning staff remain part of the team.
While some coaching positions, such as Special Teams Coordinator, are yet to be filled, earlier announcements included Dennard Wilson as Defensive Coordinator and Nick Holz as Offensive Coordinator.
Among the newly appointed coaches, Bill Callahan brings an impressive 46 years of coaching experience, including 25 years in the NFL and six as a head coach. Tyke Tolbert brings 21 years of NFL wide receiver coaching experience, Randy Jordan has been named Running Backs coach, and Bo Hardegree takes over as Quarterbacks coach with 16 years of coaching experience.
Payton McCollum has been named Assistant Wide Receivers coach with nine years of coaching experience, while on the defensive side, Frank Bush, Steve Jackson, Tracy Rocker, and Ben Bloom have been appointed as Linebackers, Secondary/Safeties, Defensive Line, and Outside Linebackers coaches, respectively.
Tom Jones joins the Titans as the Assistant to the Head Coach after spending 25 years with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, with his final two seasons as Vice President of Football Operations/Assistant to the Head Coach.
