The Vikings are presented with various options for the quarterback position, including re-signing Cousins, trading for Justin Fields from the Chicago Bears, drafting a quarterback like Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix, or J.J. McCarthy, or pursuing free agents such as Ryan Tannehill, Joe Flacco, or Gardner Minshew.
While the return of Cousins remains a probable scenario, the resolution of the quarterback situation holds the key to Jefferson’s commitment to the new contract.
