Despite taking a one-nil lead in the second half through Isaac Hutchinson’s penalty, the Saddlers couldn’t secure the win as Gillingham’s Conor Masterson equalized later in the half.
Isaac Hutchinson, who scored the penalty and extended his season tally to 12 goals in all competitions, expressed his willingness to take on the role of Walsall’s main penalty taker.
Hutchinson, who has a perfect record from the spot, including the 6-1 victory against Grimsby Town on New Year’s Day, is eager to continue taking penalties for the team.
He acknowledged the missed penalties in the past and expressed his desire to shoulder the responsibility, stating that as long as he can keep converting them, he sees no reason not to be the main penalty taker for Walsall.
