Texans Quarterback’s Heartfelt Gesture to Marine Corps Veteran as he Gives him the Best Super Bowl Gift…

C.J. Stroud, the former Ohio State quarterback, has chosen to make a positive impact on this year’s Super Bowl despite not being a participant. Collaborating with USAA and the Air & Space Forces Association, Stroud has announced a generous initiative.

He will be providing Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient Craig Mazeska with an all-expenses-paid trip to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

Expressing his deep respect for military service, Stroud emphasized the importance of family and the lessons learned from his own relatives who served in the military.

In a statement released by USAA, Stroud conveyed his honor in joining forces with USAA and the Air & Space Forces Association to send Sergeant Craig Mazeska and his son to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where he eagerly anticipates meeting them.

Sergeant Craig Mazeska, a Marine Corps veteran who served from 1988-94, achieved the rank of Sergeant during his seven-year tenure. His service included assignments in Camp LeJeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Baltimore, Maryland, involving overseas missions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq during the Gulf War. Mazeska’s responsibilities ranged from breaching walls and tank traps to handling minefields and bunkers.

Mazeska’s distinguished military career earned him several accolades, including the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and Unit Citation, among others.

Following his military service, Mazeska transitioned to a career in education, working as a teacher and school counselor. Currently retired and residing in Washington D.C., he remains actively engaged with the Air & Space Forces Association.

As a devoted Baltimore Ravens fan, Mazeska is thrilled to bring his son to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. They look forward to meeting C.J. Stroud before attending the game, with hopes of witnessing the Baltimore Ravens compete against either the Detroit Lions or San Francisco 49ers.
