Chiefs’ Reveals Shocking News on All-Pro Guard as he Faces Uncertain Status for AFC Championship Game…

The AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens is facing a setback as All-Pro guard Joe Thuney is unlikely to participate due to a pectoral muscle injury, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The injury was sustained in the Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills, and Thuney has been unable to practice since then.

Despite the challenging situation, the 31-year-old guard is determined to make a comeback, with a source revealing to Schefter that Thuney “is going to work like crazy to play.”

As a key player who featured in all 17 regular-season games, Thuney had an outstanding performance, boasting a pass block win rate of 99.1%, the highest in the NFL. He received recognition with All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections and committed only two penalties.

If Thuney is unable to play, the Chiefs are likely to rely on backup guard Nick Allegretti, who, according to head coach Andy Reid, is considered a starter-caliber player by the team.

Despite the absence of Thuney, there is confidence within the organization that Allegretti can step in and perform effectively, with Reid stating, “All the guys look at him like he’s a starter, so everybody’s got confidence that he can come in and do a nice job.”
