In the aftermath of the final, Carter expressed his displeasure with O’Sullivan’s behavior, labeling it as “disgusting” and stating that certain incidents went unnoticed but were apparent to anyone observing. He criticized O’Sullivan for “snotting all over the floor” and emphasized the unpleasant nature of the actions.
O’Sullivan, visibly angered by Carter’s accusations, responded vehemently during the press conference.
