Former Red Bull Driver Unveils Ricciardo Allegation Amidst Speculation of a New Hamilton Challenger…

Former Formula 1 driver Daniil Kvyat has provided insights into his time with the Red Bull team, recalling a period when he perceived a bias towards favoring Daniel Ricciardo.

Despite acknowledging that the car seemed particularly well-suited to Ricciardo’s driving style, Kvyat expressed contentment with his overall performance, even as he encountered challenges.

Reflecting on that phase, Kvyat shared his perspective with the official F1 website, stating, “Back then, it was just a lot of flow, getting in the car and driving.

At that time, Daniel was at the peak of his performance, I think. The car was also suited to him, and I had to work around a few issues, but still, it was a strong season and a good performance, so I was quite satisfied with it.”

Intriguingly, Kvyat disclosed an interesting chapter during the winter of 2015 when he was approached by Ferrari. The Italian team, under the leadership of team boss Maurizio Arrivabene, expressed a keen interest in having Kvyat join their ranks. Initiating discussions, the talks ultimately fell through due to Kvyat’s enduring allegiance to Red Bull.

“The winter was a bit strange because I was approached by Ferrari, by [team boss] Maurizio Arrivabene. They were like, ‘We want you to drive for us’, and we started talking a bit more and more. At the end, it was clear it wasn’t [going to work] because my ties to Red Bull were quite strong,” Kvyat revealed.

As the narrative unfolded into the 2016 season, Kvyat noted improvements in the car, although he emphasized that these advancements occurred after his departure from the team.

Despite the challenges faced during his tenure with Red Bull, Kvyat’s satisfaction with his overall performance and the intriguing Ferrari episode shed light on the complexities and dynamics that shape a Formula 1 driver’s career.
