Top 2 Motorsport Icons Unites And Sends a Stunning Message to German Former Racing Driver Amidst Greatest Driver Debate…

Mercedes and Ferrari send message to Michael Schumacher as F1 icon told ‘keep fighting’
Mercedes and Ferrari have both sent their support to F1 legend Michael Schumacher as he continues his recovery from a skiing accident.

Mercedes and Ferrari have both sent messages of support to Michael Schumacher on the day of his 55th birthday. The Silver Arrows urged the seven-time world champion to ‘keep fighting’ as the legendary German continues his recovery from a serious skiing accident suffered in 2013.

Schumacher – who retired from F1 for the second and final time at the end of the 2012 season – was enjoying a skiing holiday with his family in the French Alps in December 2013, when he suffered life-changing injuries following a crash.

The 91-time Grand Prix winner was navigating an off-piste area of the Dent de Burgin mountain when he fell, hitting his head on a rock. While he was wearing a helmet, he still suffered extreme injuries and was placed into a medically induced coma following a series of surgeries at the local Grenoble Hospital.

He was transported back home less than a year after the accident, but since then updates on Schumacher’s health have been few and far between with his wife Corinna keeping one-to-one access to the seven-time champion largely restricted, spare for his closest family and friends.

The rare glimpses into his health that the public has been offered have given little reason for optimism. However, the world of motorsport still holds the legendary German close to its hearts with his personality, racecraft and records leaving an irreversible mark on the sport’s history.

Mercedes took to their social media platforms to publicise their support for Schumacher, posting on X: “Happy birthday, Michael. Today marks the f1 legend’s 55th birthday #KeepFightingMichael.”

Schumacher’s ties with Mercedes started in 2010 when he came out of retirement to partner Nico Rosberg in the recently rebranded Brawn GP team. He went on to play a key role in setting up the team’s future success before bowing out at the end of 2012, later to be replaced by future seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher snubbed in debate over greatest two drivers ever

Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are the two most successful drivers in F1 history, but the greatest of all-time debate is hotting up.

Gerhard Berger, a 10-time Grand Prix winner, believes that his former McLaren team-mate Ayrton Senna and reigning world champion Max Verstappen are the two best drivers he has witnessed during his time watching F1. The 64-year-old ranked the pair above the iconic duo of Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton.

In 2023, Verstappen put together arguably the most impressive individual season in F1 history, winning 19 out of a possible 22 Grands Prix as he romped to a third successive World Championship by an unprecedented margin of 290 points.

His incredible win tally means that despite being just 26 years of age, Verstappen now sits third in the all-time list for the most Grand Prix victories with a total of 54, leaving him narrowly clear of Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost. Only Schumacher (91) and Hamilton (103) have recorded more during their careers.

Senna, meanwhile, won three Drivers’ Championship titles in the span of four years between 1988 and 1991 while also finishing second in 1989 and 1993. Tragically, at the age of just 34 and with years of his prime remaining, the iconic Brazilian was killed following a crash at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
