Minnesota defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere has left a positive impression on 2025 defensive line prospect Isaiah White, who hails from Indianapolis. White, a standout player from Ben Davis High School, has become one of the top defensive line prospects in the Midwest, garnering attention after an impressive junior season.
Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 270 pounds, White received Power Five offers from Michigan State and Minnesota in October, marking the beginning of an increasingly active recruitment phase. His performance on the field has attracted interest from several other Power Five programs.
Reflecting on his recruitment, White expressed satisfaction with its progress, anticipating the uptick in attention. His focus, however, has been on achieving success with his high school team and bringing home a championship.
White’s connection with the University of Minnesota strengthened after receiving an offer during a visit to Minneapolis in November. He spoke highly of his relationship with Golden Gophers’ defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere, referring to him as “Coach Debo” and expressing a sense of belonging during his visit.
During the visit to Huntington Bank Stadium for the Illinois game, White was impressed by the environment and described it as one of the best experiences. He highlighted the difference between watching games on TV and being present to witness the interactions between coaches and players during crucial moments in the match.
Michigan State also hosted White for a visit during their game against in-state rival Michigan. Despite the loss, White appreciated the atmosphere inside the stadium, emphasizing the involvement of fans and his exposure to a late-night game setting.
Looking ahead, White has expressed interest in visiting Ohio State and Indiana during the offseason. While he currently has no scheduled visits once the NCAA recruiting dead period concludes, he remains hopeful about exploring these two programs.
In his junior season, White showcased his skills with 69 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.
