Dear Supporters,
It is with profound sorrow that the Club and I announce the passing of Anne Austin.
Anne, a dedicated Town supporter and a seasoned season ticket holder, received medical attention in the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand after falling ill during the Club’s match against Queens Park Rangers on the evening of Friday, December 29. Regrettably, she passed away at Portman Road at the age of 81.
We have been in contact with Anne’s family to extend our support during this challenging time.
In a gesture of respect, the players and coaching staff will wear black armbands during the away fixture against Stoke City on New Year’s Day. The entire Club expresses its deepest condolences to Anne’s family and friends.
Recognizing the sensitivity of this moment for Anne’s family, we collectively send them our heartfelt love and support.
