Raiders’ CB Pull a Shocking Reaction to Travis Kelce Over Disrespectful Comments…

Raiders cornerback Jack Jones has strongly responded to comments made by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who claimed that the Chiefs “handed that team a win on Christmas” after the Raiders defeated Kansas City 20-14 in Week 16. Despite the victory, the Raiders continue to struggle for recognition, with much of the focus on the Chiefs’ loss rather than the Raiders’ success.

Jones, who played a key role in the win with an interception returned for a touchdown, refuted Kelce’s narrative, asserting, “He said they gave us that game? Tell him to go watch that game. We took that game.” Kelce’s frustration was evident during the game, marked by a sideline outburst and helmet throw, leading to him being benched for a few plays. The Chiefs tight end managed only five catches for 44 yards as the Raiders’ defense limited Kansas City to 14 points.

Having had a strong rookie season with the New England Patriots but not fitting the culture, Jones found a new home with the Raiders, where he feels a strong sense of camaraderie. Describing the team as a family, Jones emphasized the genuine connection within the group. With back-to-back games featuring interceptions returned for touchdowns, Jones is making a case for a long-term future with the Raiders, impressing cornerback Nate Hobbs, who referred to him as “special.”

Jones’ success has been recognized by interim head coach Antonio Pierce, who coached him in high school and college. Despite Jones’ past off-the-field issues, Pierce commended his performance and stressed the importance of unity among the defensive backs. As the highest-graded Raiders cornerback on Pro Football Focus, Jones could establish a lasting presence with the team if he maintains his current level of play.
