Vikings Provides Scary Injury Updates Ahead of Packers Clash…

The Minnesota Vikings have officially added veteran linebacker Anthony Barr to their active roster, making the announcement on Friday. Barr, a first-round pick for the Vikings in the 2014 draft, had been part of the team’s practice squad since November.

The decision to promote Barr to the active roster came after the Vikings found themselves with an open spot due to outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum being placed on injured reserve. Wonnum underwent surgery to address a quadriceps muscle injury.

Barr’s promotion to the 53-player roster follows his appearances in Week 11 against the Denver Broncos and Week 12 against the Chicago Bears. During these games, Barr played 26 defensive snaps, contributing with one tackle and a fumble recovery.

Alongside this move, the Vikings also brought back linebacker Nick Vigil, re-signing him to the practice squad.

As the team prepares for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, they have ruled out four players: safety Theo Jackson (toe), cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. (knee), receiver Jalen Nailor (concussion), and defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy (ankle).

Meanwhile, receiver Jordan Addison (ankle), cornerback Mekhi Blackmon (shoulder/illness), and linebacker Troy Dye (wrist) are listed as questionable.
