Former Collingwood, Brown Breaks Silence as he Finds Reunion in his Returns to Victoria.

Former Collingwood and Adelaide midfielder Tyler Brown, aged 24, has returned to his home state of Victoria and inked a deal with VFL team Box Hill for the upcoming 2024 season.

Brown, who spent the previous season with Adelaide in South Australia, will be joining his older brother Callum at Box Hill.

Tyler Brown initially entered the AFL scene as a father-son selection for Collingwood in the 2017 National Draft, following the legacy of his father Gavin, a Collingwood premiership player and Team of the Century member. After five years with the Magpies, Tyler and his brother were delisted by Collingwood at the end of the previous year.

Although Callum swiftly moved to Box Hill, Tyler was initially set to join VFL club Footscray before receiving an opportunity for training at West Lakes. Subsequently, he secured a one-year deal with Adelaide for the 2023 season but was not offered an extension after playing one AFL game during the year.

Now, Tyler Brown has rejoined his brother at Box Hill for the 2024 season. In a statement, he expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Box Hill football club, highlighting the excitement of playing alongside his brother again. Brown’s addition to Box Hill comes alongside Ethan Phillips, the 2022 Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal winner, as the Hawks gear up for the upcoming season.

Box Hill finished third in the VFL in the preceding year, reaching the preliminary final but ultimately falling short against eventual premiers Gold Coast.
