Milwaukee Biucks’ Player and Western Conference Player Have Received Prestigious NBA Award…

Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been recognized by the NBA as the Players of the Week for their outstanding performances in their respective conferences during the recent week of play.

This marks the first instance in the ongoing 2023-24 season where both Doncic and Antetokounmpo have received this weekly honor. Doncic, a ten-time recipient of the Western Conference Player of the Week award, demonstrated exceptional leadership for the Dallas Mavericks, guiding them to a 3-1 record amid challenges such as injured teammates, including Kyrie Irving.

Notably, he averaged 36.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 11.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, showcasing impressive shooting percentages of 49.0% from the field, 35.9% from the perimeter, and 96.9% on free throws. At that time, the Mavericks held the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a 16-9 record.

On the other hand, Antetokounmpo’s stellar performance led the Milwaukee Bucks to an undefeated week, securing him the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award for the 22nd time in his career.

His averages included 36.0 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, with an exceptional shooting percentage of 63.9% from the field. Thanks to his contributions, Milwaukee held the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 19-7 record.

Several other noteworthy players were considered for the weekly accolade, as announced by the NBA. Despite stiff competition, Doncic and Antetokounmpo’s consistent impactful performances throughout the season position them as strong contenders for All-NBA First-Team and MVP honors, contingent on their continued health and excellence on the court.
