How Texans Coach Leads Team Beyond ‘Meaningful Football’ Amid Playoff Aspirations and Injury Challenges…

Texans Coach DeMeco Ryans Pursues More Than Just ‘Meaningful Football’ Despite the success the Texans have enjoyed this season under the leadership of new coach DeMeco Ryans and the emergence of rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, the ultimate objective remains distant.

Following the impressive 19-16 overtime road victory against archrival Tennessee, where backup quarterback Case Keenum played a crucial role, the Texans find themselves in a promising position in the playoff race, just one spot away from the postseason bracket at No. 8 in the AFC.

This achievement is credited to the combined efforts of Coach DeMeco Ryans and rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The Texans secured the victory against Tennessee despite facing challenges with an injury-depleted roster, missing five starters and rookie wideout Tank Dell, who is out for the season.

Stroud, still in concussion protocol, was unable to play, and Coach Ryans anticipates updates on the status of Stroud, wide receiver Nico Collins, and defensive rookie standout Will Anderson, Jr. later in the week.

Looking ahead, the Texans have crucial matchups against a playoff-hungry Browns team, a rematch against the Titans, and a game against the Colts.
