“Quite Unexpected” – CJ Stroud’s Status Confirmed for Week 15 against the Tennessee Titan…

Houston Texans’ rising star quarterback, CJ Stroud, who has shone brightly throughout the season, sustained an injury in last week’s 30-6 defeat to the New York Jets. Diagnosed with a concussion, he exited the game in the second half and entered concussion protocol. The official verdict for his Week 15 participation against the Titans has now been disclosed.

Reports from various sources confirm that CJ Stroud will sit out the Week 15 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, failing to clear concussion protocol. Stepping into his role will be seasoned backup quarterback Case Keenum. Stroud has been a frontrunner in the Offensive Rookie of the Year race, boasting impressive stats—275-of-441 completions (62.4%), 3,631 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, five interceptions, and 35 rushing attempts for 143 yards (4.1 yards per carry) with three rushing touchdowns.

The Houston Texans, currently the eighth seed in the AFC, face a challenging period with four weeks left in the regular season.

The looming question is whether the Texans can secure a victory without CJ Stroud. His absence is undoubtedly a significant setback, considering his stellar performance. However, the Texans are encountering the Tennessee Titans for the first time this season. The Titans, with a 5-8 record, hold a 3.5-point home-favorite status in this game.

Despite the challenging circumstances, the Titans recently clinched a comeback win against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. While Houston remains in the hunt for the AFC South and a Wild Card spot, injuries extend beyond Stroud. Both wide receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell will also be sidelined for this crucial game.

Anticipated to be a closely contested match, the betting spread suggests a tight battle. Nevertheless, the Tennessee Titans are expected to dominate with their superior offensive lineup.
