Quarterback Jake Browning delivered a triumphant response to the Minnesota Vikings after the Cincinnati Bengals secured a comeback victory in Week 15. Overcoming a 17-3 second-half deficit, the Bengals triumphed 27-24 in overtime at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Browning orchestrated a stunning turnaround, connecting with wide receiver Tyler Boyd on a crucial 44-yard pass during overtime, setting up kicker Evan McPherson’s game-winning field goal. Displaying confidence, Browning, who was released by the Vikings in 2021, expressed his sentiments to a sideline camera, asserting, “You never should have cut me.”

In his postgame press conference, Browning revealed his extra motivation to best Minnesota, recounting the unpleasant circumstances of his release two seasons ago. According to Browning, the Vikings led him to believe he would secure a spot on their practice squad, only to cut him abruptly hours later, which he described as the “sh—iest” manner possible.

Finishing the game with 29 completions on 42 attempts, 324 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception, Browning improved his overtime record to 2-0 this season, consistently delivering performances with over 300 passing yards in both instances.
