Texans Update: Stroud’s Concussion, Mills on Deck, and New Uniforms Unveiling in 2024

C.J. Stroud’s current status is in the concussion protocol, requiring him to pass various tests for clearance to practice and play.

While there’s a chance he might play against the Titans on Sunday, the Texans prioritize his health, considering the potential risks associated with concussions. Coach DeMeco Ryans emphasized the importance of safeguarding players’ long-term well-being over immediate game considerations.

If Stroud remains unavailable due to the concussion, Davis Mills is expected to start next week. Mills briefly took the field after Stroud’s injury during the last game. Despite the Texans’ recent challenging performance against the Jets, Mills expressed readiness to step in as needed.

Regarding the disappointing outcome against the Jets, the Texans had a difficult day, with New York making plays while Houston struggled, compounded by the absence of key offensive contributors and injuries to key players like Nico Collins. The team aims for a rebound in the upcoming game against Nashville.

As for tailgating activities, flying drones in parking lots is not permitted on the property, according to Drew Dougherty’s response to a fan’s question.

On a different note, the Texans are set to reveal new uniforms in late April 2024, coinciding with the week of the NFL Draft.
