SAD NEWS: Injury Strikes Texans’ Quarterback Forcing his Exit and Concussion Evaluation During Game Against Jets…

Texans’ quarterback C.J. Stroud suffered an injury and had to leave the game against the Jets on Sunday. The nature of the injury is unclear, and Stroud received medical attention on the field. A hit from Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams led to Stroud hitting his head on the turf, prompting his transfer to the medical tent and later the locker room.

As of the latest update at 3:51 p.m., the Texans announced that Stroud is undergoing evaluation for a possible concussion and is considered questionable to return to the game.

Before his departure in the fourth quarter, Stroud managed to complete 10 of 23 passes for 91 yards and faced four sacks. This marked the first game in Stroud’s career where he threw for less than 100 yards, with his previous lowest being 140 yards in Week 8 against the Panthers.

With less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Jets were leading the Texans 27-6. Davis Mills has stepped in as the quarterback for Houston in Stroud’s absence.
