Week 14 AP NFL Power Rankings: Chiefs Slip from Top Tier…

The Arrowhead Pride team evaluates the league’s teams from highest to lowest.

Recall the days when football was an enjoyable pursuit? Even during the Kansas City Chiefs’ rough patches – and I mean truly challenging times – supporting the team was more gratifying than it is now.

The advent of social media has exacerbated the situation. Previously, after a Sunday loss, I’d be upset for a few hours but would soon move on. Nowadays, you’re consistently reminded of the missteps every time you glance at your phone.

Granted, my reaction may be a bit exaggerated, but that’s the impact of modern society on my perspective. It could be worse – we could be fans of the Patriots.

This week’s rankings come from Stephen Serda, Rocky Magana, Jared Sapp, Nate Christensen, Dakota Watson, and myself.

  1. San Francisco 49ers (2nd)

They are currently unstoppable.

  1. Baltimore Ravens (3rd)

Despite not playing, they emerged as the big winners of the week.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (1st)

They went from comfortably holding the No. 1 seed to fighting for their division in just one week.

  1. Dallas Cowboys (5th)

Dak’s rhythm is unparalleled. “Heeeere we gooooooo.”

  1. Miami Dolphins (6th)

Why does Tyreek always feel the need to tweet emojis during Chiefs games?

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (4th)

We’ll finally discover how Patrick Mahomes performs on the road in the playoffs.

  1. Detroit Lions (8th)

They love keeping their fans on edge.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars (7th)

All attention is on the injury report.

  1. Houston Texans (9th)

Just a week after praising Tank Dell, one of my new favorite players, he suffered a serious injury. Don’t fall in love too quickly, kids.

  1. Buffalo Bills (10th)

Sunday is a crucial game for them in Kansas City.

  1. Seattle Seahawks (13th)

DK Metcalf continues to haunt Chiefs fans with memories of the 2019 draft.

  1. Green Bay Packers (18th)

It took them 12 years, but they finally got their revenge for the Kyle Orton game.

  1. Indianapolis Colts (16th)

Their mantra seems to be winning.

  1. Denver Broncos (14th)

It’s amusing how they struggle to win when the other team isn’t handing them the ball.

  1. Minnesota Vikings (15th)

They have a lot to address after the bye.

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers (11th)

Kenny Pickett is injured, yet not much changes for them. They’ll still endure subpar quarterback play.

  1. Cleveland Browns (12th)

A harsh drop in rankings without playing a game.

  1. Cincinnati Bengals (17th)

Winning a classic against a contender apparently warrants a dip in the rankings. I never claimed this was a flawless formula.

  1. Los Angeles Rams (21st)

Does anyone bother watching the Rams’ games?

  1. Atlanta Falcons (19th)

The fifth seed in the NFC is essentially a bye week.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers (20th)

Only the Chargers could cover a 5.5-point spread by winning 6-0.

  1. New Orleans Saints (22nd)

It’s Jameis time.

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (24th)

Lose on Sunday, and their season might be over.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders (23rd)

Their next two games are quite winnable: Giants and Jets.

  1. Tennessee Titans (25th)

Fancy missing a go-ahead PAT.

  1. Washington Commanders (26th)

Sam Howell seems to have lost his magic touch.

  1. New York Jets (27th)

Is Aaron Rodgers the world’s biggest narcissist?

  1. Chicago Bears (28th)

They had a week off.

  1. Arizona Cardinals (29th)

James Conner’s revenge game.

  1. New York Giants (30th)

Surprisingly, they aren’t the worst team in the NFL.

  1. New England Patriots (31st)

If you think the contrast between the Chiefs’ offense and defense is stark, imagine being a Patriots defender.

  1. Carolina Panthers (32nd)

They’re so bad that the Patriots aren’t at the bottom.
