Carlisle United: Cumberland Cup Quarter-Final Showdowns Date Confirmed…

The Fred Conway Cumberland Cup quarter-final pairings have been confirmed, revealing that Carlisle United will be facing Penrith at Frenchfield Park. Carlisle progressed to this stage by defeating Aspatria in the preceding round.

The upcoming clash will pit Carlisle against Penrith, led by former Brunton Park favorite Darren Edmondson, with support from another ex-Blues star, Richard Prokas.

Penrith, a competitor in Northern League Division One, earned their spot in the quarter-finals by overcoming Greystoke in the second round.

This encounter will mark Carlisle United’s second appearance of the season on Penrith’s recently installed artificial pitch at the Leo Group Stadium.

In another fixture, county senior cup holders Workington Reds, managed by Danny Grainger, are set for a home match against Unisun Athletic as they strive to defend their title.

The remaining quarter-final matchups include Alston Moor hosting Whitehaven Miners Social and Windscale welcoming Maryport Athletic.

All quarter-final ties are slated to take place on or before February 10th.
