Walsall defender Liam Gordon asserts that the team has unwavering confidence in Mat Sadler and his coaching staff.
Following a second consecutive league defeat against Harrogate Town on Saturday, the Saddlers find themselves in 17th place.
Despite the on-field challenges, Gordon firmly believes in the managerial direction Sadler is steering the club.
“Individually and collectively as a team, we have complete faith in the manager and the coaching staff,” Gordon disclosed.
“Observers may not witness the work he puts in for us on the training ground, and they might conclude that we aren’t putting in enough effort during training, attributing it to our performance on the field. However, that’s not the case. I have full confidence in the manager, and I believe in their vision for this season, what they expect from us, and personally, what they expect from me.”
He further commented: “It’s disheartening when we experience losses like today (Saturday), and I understand it’s frustrating for the fans. They want us to succeed, and it’s understandable that they expressed their dissatisfaction today. However, we hope they continue to support us, and together we can navigate through this challenging period we might be facing.”
