Mohammed Shami has criticized former Pakistani cricketer Hasan Raza for accusing Team India of cheating in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
India has been performing exceptionally well and is the only team with an unbeaten record in this edition of the World Cup.
Shami, who missed the fourth match of the tournament, has been outstanding in the last four games, claiming 16 wickets with an impressive average of 7.
Raza claimed on a show that Indian bowlers might be gaining an advantage by using a different ball, enabling them to take more wickets and trouble the opposition compared to other teams. He also suggested that the DRS is being manipulated to favor the Indian team.
Shami posted on Instagram, criticizing Raza for his strange comments and urging him to focus on the game and appreciate someone else’s success, rather than making baseless statements.
Earlier, Akram also criticized Raza for his comments.
Meanwhile, India, who have already qualified for the semi-finals, will face the Netherlands in their last league stage match on Sunday.
