Since making Philadelphia his home in 2019, Bryce Harper has consistently shown his love for the city and its residents. He doesn’t hesitate to demonstrate his affection when approached by fans. Earlier in the season, it became known that Harper is a regular listener of 91.4 WIP. During a game in late August, a fan named Chuck from Mount Airy called into the radio station, and Harper, inspired by Chuck’s enthusiasm, promised to hit a home run that evening for him.
Harper’s outstanding performance during the 2023 season, despite a delayed start due to Tommy John surgery recovery, demonstrated his appreciation for the support.
