Minnesota Vikings’ Offense Suffers Another Blow as Wide Receiver Sidelined with Concussion…

K.J. Osborn’s injury has dealt another blow to the Minnesota Vikings’ offense, which has already been hit hard by injuries this season. In the second quarter of their game against the Falcons, Osborn was forced to leave the field after a disturbing blow to the head.

Following the hit, he was briefly motionless on the ground but eventually walked to the cart, which carried him away. He has been officially ruled out of the game due to a concussion.

Osborn, who has been a standout player in the absence of star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, entered the week with 30 receptions, 360 yards, and two touchdowns for the season. Last week, he had a season-high performance with eight catches for 99 yards in the Vikings’ win over Green Bay.

At the time of his injury, Osborn had made two catches for 17 yards on two targets. Earlier in the game, the Vikings had already lost rookie QB Jaren Hall to a concussion.

The incident occurred with 4:13 remaining in the second quarter, as the Vikings had the ball on their own 27-yard line. On a third-and-8 play, Josh Dobbs completed a pass to Osborn for 13 yards. However, Osborn was hit from both the front and the back, taking blows to the head from Falcons cornerbacks Jeff Okudah and Dee Alford. Alford received a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness on the play.

Osborn remained on the field for an extended period before being taken away on a cart, but he was able to walk to the cart himself. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to continue playing due to the concussion.

With Jefferson still sidelined due to a hamstring injury, the Vikings will have to rely on Brandon Powell and rookie Jordan Addison to step up in the wide receiver position for the rest of the game against the Falcons.
