Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker issues a shocking verdict regarding the team’s weaknesses…

Roquan Smith, the Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker, expressed his confidence in the team’s defensive performance following their impressive 38-6 victory against the Detroit Lions on their home turf.

Smith remarked, ‘When I assess our defense, from our defensive line to our linebackers and secondary, I don’t identify any noticeable weaknesses.’ He further emphasized that when the entire defense is operating at their best, it becomes exceedingly challenging for opponents to advance the ball, let alone score.

He acknowledged the late touchdown by the Lions but remained optimistic about the team’s ability to bounce back. It’s worth noting that Detroit came into the game with a top-five offense, ranking third in yards per game (383.7) and fourth in points per game (28).

Nevertheless, the Ravens defense effectively stifled the Lions’ offense, yielding just one touchdown while forcing four punts, three turnovers on downs, and an interception. The Lions managed only one red zone drive, which failed to yield any points.

Smith had an impactful presence on the field, accumulating eight tackles, tying for the team-high, and recording one pass defended. The Ravens’ defense as a whole registered five sacks, four tackles for loss, and six passes defended.

Prior to this game, Detroit hadn’t scored fewer than 20 points in any game this season. After seven weeks of the NFL season (before Monday Night Football), Smith was tied for fourth in the league in tackles with 63.

He stands as the central figure and driving force behind one of the NFL’s elite defenses. Smith joined the Ravens midway through the previous season after a trade with the Chicago Bears, in exchange for A.J. Klein, a 2023 second-round pick, and a 2023 fifth-round pick.

He concluded the season strongly, earning his first Pro Bowl appearance and First Team All-Pro recognition. Next week, Smith and the Ravens will hit the road to face the Arizona Cardinals on October 29th at 4:25 p.m.”
